Purpose / Missions of Position:
Actively take part in the expansion of sales in the defined area (EMEA) by increasing market share of Kuraray in this area and promoting new products. You will also investigate new applications for our products. As Sales Manager, you will develop and safeguard the image of Kuraray in the area. You will report to the Head of the Business Unit Chemicals. The preferred work location is Hattersheim, Germany
We are looking to immediately fill an open position for our Chemicals department at our branch in Hattersheim, Germany:

Sales Manager Chemicals (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities include

  • Direct sales in defined countries within the EMEA market by direct approach to customers and prospects
  • Manage existing distributors and propose necessary changes to supervisor
  • Responsible for sales of the customers he/she is in charge of

Technical Marketing:
  • Participates in the competitive and technological intelligence
  • Participates in the creation of marketing documents for conception to realization
  • Participates in the organization of fairs taking place on his/her territory
  • Provides the necessary technical support to customers with the support of the teams in Europe and Japan

This is your job profile

  • Successfully completed commercial and / or technical education, such as Chemist or Chemical Engineer. Masters’ degree is highly preferred.
  • Know-how of at least some of the targeted segments required: Household Cleaners, Polyurethan, Inks, Fragrance & Flavor, Air Care, Cosmetics, etc.)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales of chemical products to the targeted segment preferred
  • Profile as Business Developer desired
  • Proficiency in business English as well as business German mandatory
  • Travel requirement: 50% of frequent business trips in Europe
  • Experience and inclination to work in an international environment
  • Prospection skills necessary
  • Working with autonomy and results-oriented work attitude
  • Good team player with excellent communication skills, ability to deal with global/remote teams comprised of people coming from different cultures and nationalities
