Market Developer Paper & Plastic Packaging (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities include

• Implements the P&P value proposition for related sub-markets and applications
• This role will be field based. Intense interaction with key customers and the sales organization will be imperative
• Acquisition and strategic development of new customers (brand owners)
• Development of concepts and strategies for the acquisition of new customers (brand owners)
• Analysis of customer needs / pain points and identification of opportunities for strategic co-development opportunities. Special focus is on the cross-divisional development of highly innovative products
  • Project lead for the development of cross-divisional developments
  • Building an internal and external network to aggregate resources for these projects: resources can come from Business Units or external partners
  • Close collaboration with the P&P related business Units
  • Management and monitoring of such development projects
• Keeping up to date with the latest developments and technologies of the Business Unit / Corporate R&D
• Detailed analysis of market trends and brand owner needs, and assessment of Kuraray P&P market application fit
  • Translates fit into P&P product / service requirements and develops a comprehensive innovation mission plan for Kuraray P&P
  • Align the innovation roadmap and portfolio of growth projects with the overall direction, objectives and priorities of the company and the Business Units
  • Communicate the mission plan and strategy to senior leadership, INC team members and other stakeholders
• Participates in industry associations, seeking opportunities to influence strategies aligned with those of Kuraray P&P
• Track/implement actions to comply with global packaging sustainability regulations

This is your job profile

• Bachelor’s degree or master's degree in engineering from a reputable college, MBA with engineering degree would be an added advantage 
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in industrial sales / marketing with strong technical & commercial mindset for customer/ product / application developments
• Prior work experience in the paper and plastic packaging industry (brand owner or big converter)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Strong internal personal skills, business acumen and analytical capabilities
• International travel as required, estimated 30~40%
• A collaborative and solution-oriented mindset as well as excellent communication with various audiences, ability to motivate and inspire others
